Features: These skirts split in the middle for freedom of movement and modesty. For comfort the fit is that of a pair of pants rather than the looser culottes. When sitting astride a horse, fence, or playground equipment the skirt should not hike up as culottes do. The goal of the design is that when standing and walking the skirt appearance is maintained. Although designed for bareback riding, these designs would be recommended for anyone that sits facing someone else, whether on stage, in a classroom, in a couch or on the floor. Any active female that prefers the modesty of skirts and dresses should enjoy these designs.
Modesty note: If the hem of a regular skirt does not drape many inches below the curve of the knee when seated modesty is in peril; a split skirt will take care of the center view. If you like to cross your legs when seated then a longer hem is still recommended to cover the outside thighs from view.
